About Our Foundation
The Cormorant Foundation is being established to extend our mission beyond day-to-day care services. We believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality care, regardless of their financial circumstances.
Opening in Autumn 2025, our Foundation will specifically focus on supporting individuals who receive funding for care but find that it doesn't fully cover their needs. We'll provide top-up support to help them access the comprehensive care they wouldn't otherwise be able to afford.
Our Foundation's Mission

- Provide additional hours of support to enhance quality of life
- Create a sustainable model for community-supported care
How It Will Work
Our Foundation will assess individual needs and provide supplementary care hours to complement existing funded care packages. This ensures that people receive the comprehensive support they truly need, not just the minimum covered by funding.
We'll work closely with local authorities, NHS services, and other funding bodies to create seamless care experiences that maximise the benefit of both funded and Foundation-supported care.
Who Will Benefit
The Foundation will primarily support:
- Individuals with local authority funded care that doesn't fully meet their needs
- People with limited personal funds who need additional support
- Those who fall into the gap between funded care and self-funding
